Postgraduate
Studies

Postgraduate study at Hoani Tapu is a transformational journey where you will have the chance both learn from expert teachers and develop your own scholarship and research. By studying on-site at the College in conjunction with a partner university, you will join a diverse community of scholars, leaders, and practitioners committed to addressing pressing spiritual, cultural, and social questions facing the church and wider society today. You will have access to world-leading supervision and be able to participate in regular postgraduate wānanga with students and teaching staff alike.

Our research community especially seeks to engage critically and creatively with global theology while also grounding our scholarship in the rich wisdom of Moana and Māori knowledges. Postgraduate study at Hoani Tapu aims to equip you to contribute meaningfully to the church, community, and wider academy, advancing relevant and contextual theologies that speak with prophetic relevance to Aotearoa and the wider Pacific.
